The Rivers State Police Command has scheduled the written examination for candidates applying for enlistment into the Nigeria Police Force as Police Constables, covering both General Duty and Specialist cadres.
The examination will take place from April 28 to April 30, 2026.
According to the Command, the exercise has been approved by the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu, and will be conducted at the Faculty of Law, Rivers State University, Port Harcourt.
A statement issued on Saturday by the Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Agabe Blessing Kaborlo, said only applicants who successfully completed the physical and credential screening stage are eligible to participate in the examination.
Qualified candidates have been advised to visit the official recruitment portal at www.npfapplication.psc.gov.ng from April 25, 2026, to print their Examination Invitation Card, which will indicate their assigned date, time, and venue.
Applicants are expected to attend the examination with a pen, their National Identification Number, NIN, slip bearing a clear photograph, a printed copy of their Examination Invitation Card, as well as white shorts, a white T-shirt, and white canvas shoes.
The Commissioner of Police in Rivers State, Olugbenga A. Adepoju, reiterated that the recruitment process is entirely free, urging applicants to disregard any requests for payment at any stage.
