The Odo-Ado Divisional Police Headquarters of the Ekiti State Police Command has apprehended one Adediwura Babatunde for allegedly stealing a Bajaj motorcycle said to belong to a student of the Federal Polytechnic, Ado-Ekiti.
According to the police, the motorcycle was reported stolen from where it was parked around the campus. On investigation, the suspect, Babatunde, was trailed to Ondo town, in Ondo State, where he was arrested.
The suspect confessed to the crime and further stated that he equally stole one Toyota Camry vehicle from the polytechnic campus sometime December 2025.
The Toyota Camry and the motorcycle were recovered from him. The owners were contacted and have come to reclaim their properties.
The State Commissioner of Police, Faladev Adegoroye Michael, appealed to citizens to be vigilant and support the police with credible and timely information that could help nip crimes in the bud before they occur.
