Police operatives in Edo have rescued 16 bus passengers abducted by gunmen in the state..
Gunmen suspected to be kidnappers on Friday attacked an 18-seater bus, which belonged to the New Edo Line Transport Company, and two other vehicles, where the 29 passengers were forcefully taken away.

The attackers ambushed the buses on the Sobe axis of the road and dragged the victims into the bush.
The spokesman for the state police command, Moses Yamu, confirmed the news to journalists on Saturday.
Yamu said the 16 passengers were rescued unhurt and assured that the police would leave no stone unturned to rescue others.
