Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has reacted to the defection of the 2023 presidential candidate of the New Nigerian Peoples Party, NNPP, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso.

DAILY POST reports that Kwankwaso officially picked the membership card of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, on Monday.

Several stakeholders of the party including Peter Obi and Rotimi Amaechi, former governors of Anambra and Rivers states, respectively, stormed Kwankwaso’s residence in Kano to witness the defection.

Reacting, Atiku in a post on his official Facebook page expressed excitement over Kwankwaso’s alignment with other opposition figures ahead of the 2027 elections.

According to Atiku, the alliance of opposition leaders has made power to tremble.

He wrote, “When men of conviction come together, power trembles. Welcome aboard, HE Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso.”
