Rapper Eminem's ex-wife Kim Scott facing DUI charge after car crash with son and his friends

Eminems ex-wife, Kim Scott, is facing two misdemeanor charges in Michigan following an alleged car crash involving her son and several of his friends.According to court records, Scott has been charged with operating a vehicle while intoxicated and failure to stop or identify after causing property damage. The incident reportedly occurred around 8:00 p.m. on Monday, February 16. Scott is alleged to have left her home with her son, Parker, and three of his friends to go shopping when she struck a parked car on her street. Authorities say she did not stop after the collision and instead continued driving.She then allegedly attempted to pull into her driveway, where her Range Rover crashed into her garage door. A neighbour who reportedly witnessed the incident contacted police.When officers arrived at the scene, Scott was transported to a hospital for treatment of injuries. She was discharged early Tuesday morning. Her attorney, Michael Smith, said she has not been arrested and that he is not aware of any active warrant. He added that if a warrant is issued, she will turn herself in. Describing the situation as unfortunate, Smith said Scott is a good person, a beautiful human being.Scott was married to rapper Eminem in 1999 before they divorced in 2001. The pair briefly remarried in 2006 for several months.
