England international Marcus Rashford has named the only manager he enjoyed playing under at Manchester United.

The 27-year-old, now on loan at Barcelona after spending last season at Aston Villa, revealed that his move away from Old Trafford followed his exclusion from the plans of United boss Ruben Amorim.

Before his departure, Rashford had mixed experiences under five permanent managers — Louis van Gaal, Jose Mourinho, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, Erik ten Hag and Ruben Amorim — as well as interim bosses Michael Carrick, Ralf Rangnick and Ruud van Nistelrooy.

The forward said his most consistent spell came under Solskjaer, during whose tenure he scored 43 goals across two seasons.

“Ole is a fantastic person,” Rashford told TV 2. “I loved playing under him. I can speak for many of the players at Manchester United when I say that we enjoyed playing for him. We played good football under Ole.”
