Remi Tinubu celebrates president at 74 with emotional tribute

First Lady Oluremi Tinubu has expressed deep admiration for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as he marked his 74th birthday, declaring her pride and affection for him in a heartfelt message.

“I love you and I am so proud of you,” she said in her tribute to the President on Sunday.

Despite the occasion, President Tinubu opted for a low-key celebration, citing the current national situation and the challenges confronting the country.

In a message addressed to Nigerians, the President reflected on the reform measures introduced by his administration, acknowledging the hardships experienced by citizens while maintaining optimism about the country’s future.

He pointed out that although there have been difficulties—including the effects of the Middle East crisis—there are emerging signs of improvement. According to him, the sacrifices made by Nigerians are beginning to pay off, with “a glimmer of light at the end of the tunnel.”

Tinubu reiterated his administration’s resolve to tackle pressing national issues, expressing confidence that sustained support from Nigerians would help the country overcome its challenges.

“As I mark this special day, I am reminded of the challenges we’ve faced since we initiated our reforms,” the President stated, while thanking Nigerians for their goodwill, prayers, and support.

He also acknowledged Vice President Kashim Shettima for his message and continued backing.

In his goodwill message, Shettima noted that the administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda is steering Nigeria toward sustainable growth, citing improvements in economic performance and infrastructure development.

He described the President’s leadership as purposeful and reform-oriented, emphasising that efforts are underway to build a solid foundation for long-term prosperity.

The President further called for unity and collective commitment, urging Nigerians to remain steadfast in working together to build a stronger and more prosperous nation.
