Nigeria’s First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu, will deliver a sermon at Lambeth Palace on Thursday as part of activities marking President Bola Tinubu’s ongoing state visit to the United Kingdom.

Lambeth Palace, the official residence of the Archbishop of Canterbury and a key centre of the Church of England, will host the First Lady during the engagement. According to an official itinerary, she is also expected to hold meetings with representatives of the Church during her stay.

The visit is Nigeria’s first state visit to the United Kingdom in nearly 40 years and is aimed at deepening diplomatic and bilateral ties between both nations.

President Tinubu and the First Lady arrived in London on Tuesday via Stansted Airport, kicking off a packed schedule of high-level engagements. The President is expected to meet with King Charles III and British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, alongside interactions with members of the Nigerian diaspora in the UK.
