Nigerian rapper, Blaqbonez has claimed that rivalry between fans is one of the reasons Afrobeats megastars Wizkid and Davido have remained relevant in the music industry for about two decades.
Speaking in an interview with YouTuber Korty EO, Blaqbonez said artists can love each other but rivalry between fans shouldn’t be discouraged.
He claimed that without rivalry Wizkid and Davido would lose their relevance.
“Wizkid and Davido can never fade. That hatred is the reason why they will be relevant forever. When they love each other, it is over. Love is for children. Artist can love each other, but the fans should never love each other,” he expressed.
According to Blaqbonez, rivalry between fanbases keep artists trending.
The rapper said he is competitive and welcomes rivalry.
