The lawmaker representing Kogi Central in the Senate, Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, has taunted those she described as ‘enemies’ after she presented a letter to Senate President Godswill Akpabio, inviting him and other senators to commission some projects in her constituency as well as mark her second year in office as a senator.
Natasha who has a long-drawn battle with Akpabio following an altercation that led to a six-month suspension slammed on her by the Red Chamber, presented the letter which was read by the Senate President during plenary on Thursday announcing her plans for the celebration of her 2nd year in office as a Senator, a gesture that many Nigerians believe has ended their feud.
A few hours after the plenary, Natasha took to her Instagram page to share a video of Akpabio reading her letter of invitation and pointed out that the Senate president was reading the letter in the same chambers he swore she would never return to.
Also responding to a comment by one of her followers who pointed out that she should not ‘’remove her leg” from the neck of her enemies, an expression in local parlance which means she should continue to deal with her detractors, Natasha said:
“The same mouth that planned to announce my seat vacant, announced my celebration. God is great!”
In a follow up post on her Facebook page, Natasha wrote:
“By God’s will I mark my 2nd year in office as the senator representing Kogi Central District.
“This past year was quite tumultuous!!!
“Illegally suspended, fraudulently sponsored recall, death threats and 2 Federal Government cases politically instigated against me, but to God be the glory, the Senate President himself Godswill Akpabio read my letter of invitation to all senators on the very chambers they swore I’d never return.
“Sit back and watch as we showcase our numerous projects being commissioned from tonight and a mega empowerment program on Sunday the 2nd of November 2025. GOD IS NOT MAN!!!”
