Nigeria international Maduka Okoye has reacted to Udinese’s 3–1 defeat to Juventus at the Allianz Stadium in a Serie A clash on Wednesday.

At half-time, it was one apiece for both teams, with Nicolo Zaniolo cancelling out Dušan Vlahovic’s fifth-minute penalty.
However, Juve came back stronger, with Federico Gatti putting Juventus ahead in the 67th minute before Kenan Yildiz sealed the victory from another spot kick.

The Super Eagles goalkeeper made several outstanding saves to keep the scoreline respectable during the game.

Okoye praised his teammates for their collective effort, adding that the team is making steady progress under manager Kosta Runjaic.

Okoye told the official website of Udinese: “We’re not happy but we know we played a good game. We’ll take the positives and move on to the next one.”

Okoye recently returned to Udinese’s line-up after spending two months on the sidelines.
He was suspended due to a betting-related incident and missed about eight matches.
