Former Kano State governor and senator, Ibrahim Shekarau, has officially returned to the All Progressives Congress (APC) after receiving his membership card in Kano.
He announced this while speaking to a large crowd of supporters during a visit to his constituency in Giginyu, where the card was presented to him.
The event drew several top political figures, including Kano State Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, the Speaker of the Kano State House of Assembly, and other key party members, underscoring its importance in the state’s politics.
Speaking at the event, Shekarau thanked party members for welcoming him back and pledged to work for the party’s progress.
“I appreciate the overwhelming support and solidarity shown to me. I am fully committed to contributing my quota to the growth and unity of our great party,” he said.
He added that his return is part of ongoing political changes in Kano, aimed at strengthening party structures and improving co-operation at all levels.
