Afro-Juju legend, Sir Shina Peters, has opened up about how quick fame transformed his life as a teenager.
He also ruled out full return to the music scene despite public demand.
The veteran singer, who spoke on the Honest Bunch Podcast aired on Monday, recalled how success came unexpectedly in his youth and turned him into one of Nigeria’s biggest stars almost overnight.
He said: “I started my career at the age of 10. I had my first child at 14. I bought my first car at 13. I built my first house at 16.”

Despite his achievements Peters stated that he has no plan to go back to music fully.
He explained that the present music scene does not fit his creative approach and that he finds it difficult to come up with new songs.
“65 percent of my fans are Igbos, not Yorubas. My fans are demanding that I give them new music but I don’t just go to the studio. I can’t go to the studio, the atmosphere is not conducive for me. I don’t know what to sing,” the artiste stated.
