Singer Jhayco arrested for drug possession

Puerto Rican singer Jhayco was arrested in Florida after police said they found cocaine and marijuana during a traffic stop. According to an arrest report obtained by TMZ, officers spotted Jhaycos vehicle moving at just 5 miles per hour before it stopped in the middle of the road for more than a minute, prompting them to initiate a stop. The officer reported smelling marijuana coming from the car and noticing white powder on the singers pants and nose. When asked for his drivers license, Jhayco allegedly fumbled through his wallet and phone, and a records check revealed no license on file. A search of the vehicle uncovered two black pouches containing about 14 grams of suspected cannabis. Police also claimed the artist was carrying multiple baggies of suspected cocaine totaling around two grams. Jhayco reportedly told officers the white powder was not cocaine but 2C, a synthetic psychedelic drug. Known for collaborations with J Balvin, Bad Bunny, and Kali Uchis, Jhayco was booked on charges of cocaine possession and possession of 20 grams or less of cannabis.
