Spiro rolls out electric bikes to power Nigeria’s mobility drive

1 hour ago 2

Electric mobility company, Spiro has announced a major push to make its electric bikes more affordable for Nigerians.

The move is aimed at accelerating the country’s transition to cleaner and more sustainable transport.

The company, which already operates across parts of Africa, said the decision followed growing demand for cost-effective alternatives to petrol-powered motorcycles amid rising fuel prices and mounting concerns over carbon emissions.

By slashing acquisition and lease costs, Spiro hopes to put more e-bikes within the reach of everyday Nigerians—from delivery riders to commuters.

The firm also highlighted lower running costs as a key advantage, noting that electric bikes save riders money on fuel and maintenance while reducing dependence on petrol.

This calculated price change demonstrates Spiro’s dedication to promoting the nationwide adoption of reasonably priced e-mobility.

The company highlights that the new pricing promotes electric motorcycles as a wise long-term investment in addition to making them more affordable for more Nigerians.

“Our pricing strategy is designed to be affordable,” said Raul Gaur, West Africa Cluster Director at Spiro.

“We want more Nigerians to know that owning an electric bike isn’t just a dream—it’s a smart, achievable investment.”
