Celtic head coach, Brendan Rodgers has provided a positive injury update on Kelechi Iheanacho, DAILY POST reports.
Iheanacho was initially expected to be sidelined for a lengthy period after sustaining a hamstring injury in the Hoops UEFA Europa League clash with Sturm Graz last Thursday.
Rodgers has, however, revealed that the Nigeria international will only stay out of action for a few weeks.
“Alistair and Kelechi are probably not as serious as we first thought, but I’m not sure they’ll make Wednesday. “So they’ll definitely be a few weeks,” he told The Celtic Way.
Iheanacho moved to the Celtic Park on a free transfer this summer.
He has scored twice in the four league outings for the Scottish Premiership champions.
