The United Arab Emirate, UAE, has said that the Strait of Hormuz is not Iran’s blockade or personal property.
Speaking on Friday, the UAE also stated that the Strait of Hormuz is an international waterway, condemning Iran’s attacks on users of the waterway.
It also confirmed readiness to join a United States/multinational maritime force to secure free passage.
DAILY POST reports that the Strait of Hormuz has been effectively closed for almost four weeks, throwing global oil markets into chaos, and there is no clear end in sight.
The closure followed the war which broke out between the United States/ Israel and Iran on February 28.
The war has resulted to the death of Iranian Supreme Leader and many others, as well as bombing of every US interest in the Middle East.
