Techeconomy has announced the April 2026 edition of its flagship Techeconomy Business Series (TBS), themed “Protecting Innovation in Africa’s Startup Ecosystem.”

The event forms part of activities marking World Intellectual Property Day 2026 and will bring together leading experts across cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, software testing, DevOps, startup growth, software design, venture building, and finance to discuss how Africa can secure, scale, and sustain innovation.

As Africa’s startup ecosystem continues to attract global attention, founders and innovators face growing risks including intellectual property theft, cyberattacks, weak product quality systems, poor governance structures, and limited access to growth capital.

This month’s edition of the Business Series will provide practical insights into how startups can build resilient businesses while safeguarding their ideas, systems, and long-term value.
