Nigerian highlife sensation The Cavemen. have officially announced the release of their third studio album, Cavy in the City, scheduled to drop on Thursday, October 31, 2025.
The announcement, made on Thursday, October 23, was accompanied by the unveiling of the album’s captivating cover art. The image shows brothers Kingsley Okorie and Benjamin James in a visually rich, garden-inspired setting, Kingsley seated on a wooden throne decorated with intricate patterns, and Benjamin standing gracefully behind him beneath an arched entrance. The warm, sepia-toned artwork blends traditional and modern elements, hinting at a theme that bridges their cultural roots with contemporary life in the city.
Cavy in the City follows their acclaimed albums Roots (2020) and Love and Highlife (2021), both of which helped reintroduce Highlife music to a new generation. Known for their soulful fusion of Igbo Highlife rhythms, jazz, and folk influences, The Cavemen have earned a loyal following for their live performances, album and distinctive sound.
Though the duo has not yet shared the tracklist or featured artists, anticipation is high among fans and industry watchers alike. Many expect the brothers to deliver another vibrant project that stays true to their traditional essence while reflecting their evolving urban experiences.
With its October 31 release, Cavy in the City is already shaping up to be one of the most anticipated African music projects of 2025.
