Social media critic, Vincent Martins Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan has predicted that the Nigerian government may only release Nnamdi Kanu, the detained leader of proscribed Igbo separatist group, the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), when he is very old and can no longer cause trouble for the authorities.
In a video he shared on his social media platforms, VDM stated authoritatively that with the way the court case involving Kanu is going, he could spend the next 20 years in detention and will likely be released at his old age.
VDM also revealed that the reason Kanu has not been released since his arrest in 2021 is because some powerful politicians and leaders from the South-East region are behind his ordeal.
“Nnamdi Kanu will never be released till he is old and weak and can no longer cause problems.
“That is the government’s plan. All these court appearances are just for public sake. Many South-East leaders are behind his arrest,” he stated
Continuing, he said the courts will continue adjourning Kanu’s treasonable felony case because his release will be a threat to the peace in the South-East.
“The court will keep adjourning his case. The South-East governors and elites hold a meeting with the Presidency not to release Nnamdi Kanu. They said his release will be a threat to the peace and serenity enjoyed in the South-East.
“Though they admitted there are minor insecurities in the South-East, government is terrified of what would happen if he is released. Big business men from the East pay heavily so that he doesn’t see the dawn of day. He will not be released unless a miracle happens,” VDM emphasized.
