Three die in Akwa Ibom auto crash

At least three persons died in a ghastly accident in Ikot – Ibiok – Ikot Usekong Road in Eket local government area of Akwa Ibom State on Tuesday.

An official of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) told journalists on Thursday that a car and commercial motorcycle were involved in the accident that occurred at about 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday.

He blamed the accident on excessive speeding and wrong overtaking by the motorcyclist.

“Three persons died on the spot, while the fourth sustained serious injuries,” the FRSC official stated.
