At least three women died in an accident along Oke-Onigbin and Omu-Aran road in Kwara State.
The Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) in Kwara State, Kabir Kazeem, confirmed the incident to journalists on Saturday in Ilorin.
He said the accident occurred at about 3:00 p.m on Friday when the victims were returning home after participating in the Workers Day celebration in the state capital.
He said: “A commercial bus, Black colour Mazda, with registration number ARP627KY was on May 1, involved in a lone accident due to over-speeding.

“Seven people were involved in the accident, comprising three males and four females, but unfortunately, three females died immediately.”
Kazeem noted FRSC officers rushed to the scene and took the injured passengers and the dead to the nearest hospital in Omu-Aran.
He said the driver lost control when one of the vehicle tyres burst on speed.
