President Bola Tinubu has approved the appointment of Muhammad Babangida as Chairman of the revamped Bank of Agriculture.
Mohamed is the son of a former military president, Gen. Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida (retd).
The Special Adviser on Information and Strategy to the President, Bayo Onanuga, disclosed this in a statement on Friday in Abuja.

The president also appointed other individuals as heads of federal agencies in the country.
The appointees are:
* Lydia Kalat Musa – Chairman, Oil and Gas Free Zones Authority
* Jamilu Wada Aliyu – Chairman, National Educational Research and Development Council
* Yahuza Ado Inuwa – Chairman, Standard Organisation of Nigeria
* Sanusi Musa (SAN) – Chairman, Institute of Peace and Conflict Resolution
* Prof. Al-Mustapha Alhaji Aliyu – DG, Directorate of Technical Cooperation in Africa
* Sanusi Garba Rikiji – DG, Nigerian Office for Trade Negotiations
* Mrs Tomi Somefun – MD, National Hydro-Electric Power Areas Development Commission
* Dr. Abdulmumini Mohammed Aminu-Zaria – Executive Director, Nigerian Integrated Water Resources Management Commission
