Tinubu receives Buhari’s body

President Bola Tinubu was on hand alongside former President Muhammadu Buhari’s eldest son, Yusuf, and Seyi Tinubu to receive the body of the late former leader at the Umaru Musa Yar’adua Airport, Katsina, on arrival from London.

Following the announcement of the former President’s passing in London on Sunday, Tinubu had immediately set up a high powered delegation led by Vice President Kashim Shettima to go to the UK to oversee the repatriation of the body to Nigeria.

The President is currently leading a high-level federal government delegation to the burial ceremony of the late former President at his home in Daura today.

The body of the late Buhari which was draped in the Nigerian flag, was being brought down from the Nigerian Air Force aircraft by officials of the Nigerian Military with Tinubu on hand to receive it.
