A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC Joe Igbokwe claims he has asked the management of Arise TV to fire one of the organization’s controversial show anchors, Rufai Oseni.

Igbokwe made the claim in a Facebook post on Friday while reacting to Rufai’s clash with Israeli Ambassador to Nigeria, Michael Freeman.

DAILY POST reports that during a heated conversation on the Arise TV Morning show, Rufai was heard shutting up the Israeli ambassador, who was attempting to counter the journalist’s claim.

During the program, Rufai said Israel can’t be innocent in the Middle East crisis, recalling what he termed as “atrocities” committed by Israel in some countries including Gaza.

However, the ambassador attempted to counter the claim but was shut up by the TV anchor.

“Hang on a minute, let me finish. Do not interrupt me, ambassador. Let me finish”, Rufai told the ambassador.

The development has been generating mixed reactions across social media platforms with some netizens tackling the journalist over his style of interaction with guests on the live TV show.

Reacting, Igbokwe stated that Rufai is totally unprofessional and should be fired.

He wrote, “Rufai is Very rude and unbelievably arrogant. I have asked ARISE TV to remove him.

“He is not a trained journalist. His temperament is very bad, unacceptable and totally unprofessional”.
