Arsenal have agreed an initial £13 million plus add-ons with Spanish LaLiga club Valencia for their centre-back, Cristhian Mosquera.
Mosquera is expected to fly into London in the next 24-48 hours for a medical with and to finalise his move to Mikel Arteta’s side.
Speaking with Spanish radio station Radio Marca Valencia, Mosquera effectively confirmed his departure from Valencia after agreeing on personal terms with the Gunners.
Mosquera said: “Valencia is my home and it always will be.
“I arrived here at 12 years old and I am leaving as a man. I am a bit sad,” he said.
Mosquera, who is 21 years old, joined Valencia from Spanish club Hercules back in 2016.
The Spanish defender was promoted to Valencia’s first-team in 2021 and he is expected to strengthen Arteta’s squad.
