Napoli have chosen to sign Udinese’s Lorenzo Lucca instead of Liverpool’s Darwin Nunez to complement striker Romelu Lukaku in the team’s attack-line.
According to Sky in Italy, the Serie A champions have agreed a deal with Udinese to sign Lucca on loan this summer.
The deal also included an obligation to buy the 24-year-old Italian striker.
Lucca is viewed as the perfect option to complement Lukaku in Napoli manager Antonio Conte’s squad.
Napoli are keen to bolster Conte’s squad this summer transfer window after they win the Serie A title last season.
They recently signed the likes of defender Luca Marianucci for €9m and attacking midfielder Kevin De Bruyne on a free transfer.
Napoli want to add another striker to their squad as Victor Osimhen, who recently returned back to the squad following the end of his loan spell at Galatasaray, is not willing to play again for the Serie A champions.
