Troops arrest suspected terrorist ammunition courier, recover 100 rounds in Plateau

Troops of Operation Safe Haven have arrested a suspected terrorist ammunition courier and recovered 100 rounds of ammunition during a sting operation in Kuka area of Plateau State. The arrest was carried out at about 1:00 p.m. on March 15, 2026 by troops of Operation Safe Haven operating under Sector 9, Sub-Sector 91, during an intelligence-led operation. According to the sources, the suspect was apprehended while in possession of 100 rounds of 7.62mm special ammunition believed to be meant for a terrorist group operating around Wase Local Government Area of Plateau State and neighbouring states. Preliminary investigations further revealed that the suspect is allegedly a member of the terrorist group.  He was also observed to have a gunshot wound believed to have been sustained during an attack in Benue State in 2024. The suspect and the recovered ammunition are currently in custody as investigations continue. The post Troops arrest suspected terrorist ammunition courier, recover 100 rounds in Plateau appeared first on Linda Ikeji Blog.
