Troops of the Nigerian Army have foiled a kidnap attempt and rescued two victims in Sanga Local Government Area of Kaduna.
The development was contained in a post shared on X on Tuesday by security analyst Zagazola Makama.
According to the post, the incident occurred around 9:30 pm on April 26, when troops of Sector 7 under Operation Enduring Peace responded to a distress call about suspected kidnappers along the Kurmin Goro axis.
Security sources said the soldiers quickly moved to the area after receiving the alert and made contact with the armed men.
The suspects were said to have fled the scene after spotting the advancing troops, abandoning their mission.
Two victims were rescued during the operation. They were both found with gunshot wounds.
“The victims were immediately evacuated and taken for medical treatment,” Makama added.
The post further stated that troops have since increased patrols and surveillance in the area to prevent further attacks and improve security for residents.
