Nigerian Army troops have rescued five people abducted by kidnappers in Kogi State and recovered decomposing bodies during an ongoing security operation in Lokoja Local Government Area.
A credible military source told the News Agency of Nigeria on Thursday that troops from the Obajana and Kabba patrol bases moved into Ankomi village in the Adankolo area after receiving reliable intelligence.
According to the source, the village, which was previously occupied by bandits, had been destroyed and abandoned.
