
Troops of Operation Enduring Peace (OPEP) deployed at Wase, have rescued two kidnapped victims around Kukawa in Kanam Local Government Area of Plateau State.

Joint Task Force, Operation ENDURING PEACE, in a statement said the rescue operations took place on 22 February 2026, in Mansur village in Alkaleri Local Government Area of Bauchi State.
It said the troops who were on patrol, received intelligent and quickly mobilized to the scene, but bandits abandoned the victims, took to their heel
The statement further added that the victims who debriefed and reunited with their family, were abducted at a gun point.
Similarity, troops of OPEP deployed at Sanga, in Sanga Local Government Area of Kaduna State have intercepted a 36 year-old Vincent Ibrahim, a suspected gunrunner during stop and search operations at Kurmin Goro village.
He was conveying five fabricated rifles to an undisclosed location in Kafanchan when luck ran out of him
