U.S. President, Donald Trump has said Iran allowed multiple oil tankers to pass through the Strait of Hormuz as what he described as a goodwill gesture during ongoing negotiations. Speaking during a Cabinet meeting at the White House, Trump explained that the move was what he had earlier referred to as a present from Iran. They said, to show you that were real and solid, were going to let you have eight boats of oileight big boats, Trump said. It ended up being 10 boats. He added that the vessels were believed to be Pakistani-flagged, though no further official details were immediately provided by the White House.  Trumps remarks come as he continues to push Iran toward an agreement aimed at easing tensions in the strategic maritime corridor and addressing concerns over its nuclear program. Earlier in the week, the president had sparked speculation when he mentioned that Iran had given the United States a valuable, energy-related concession but declined to provide specifics at the time. They gave us a present, and it arrived todayit was very big, worth a tremendous amount of money, he had said.  The post Trump reveals the present Iran gave to U.S. amid war appeared first on Linda Ikeji Blog.
