The Tanimu Turaki-led National Working Committee (NWC) of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has advised members to ignore reports on the dissolution of the elected executive committees in Ogun, Ekiti and Ondo States.
The faction’s National Publicity Secretary, Mr. Ini Ememobong, in a statement on Saturday in Abuja, described the purported dissolution as illegal and affront to the proposed reconciliation within the party.
A factional National Organizing Secretary of the party, Umaru Bature, had during the week, dissolved the state executive committees and constituted a caretaker committees in the three states
“We have seen a purported announcement of the dissolution of the elected state executive committees in Ogun, Ekiti and Ondo states.

“This dissolution, which is illegal and unwarranted, is an affront to the proposed reconciliation for which talks are underway. This further attempt to deepen divisions at the state and other levels is null, void and of no effect whatsoever.
“We urge the state chapters, all officers of the party at the local government and ward levels and indeed the public, to discountenance the said notice and continue to exercise their lawful duties,” Ememobong stated.
