Arsenal head coach, Mikel Arteta, promoted three Nigerian youngsters to first-team training on Monday.
This comes ahead of Arsenal’s Champions League quarter-final first clash with Sporting CP in Lisbon on Tuesday.
According to Arsenal youth team insider Jeorge Bird, forward Andre Harriman-Annous, defender Josh Ogunnaike, and goalkeeper Khari Ranson were among the academy players invited to train with Arsenal’s senior team at Sobha Realty Training Centre in London Colney.
Harriman-Annous and Ranson have been included in a Champions League matchday squad this season, while Ogunnaike is yet to receive a call-up for the Gunners’ first team.
Also, Harriman-Annous made his Champions League debut off the bench in a 3-0 win over Slavia Prague last November, while Ranson was an unused substitute in both legs of the Round of 16 clash with Bayer Leverkusen last month.
It’s yet to be seen if Arteta will include Harriman-Annous, Ranson and Ogunnaike in the Arsenal squad to face Sporting CP tonight.
