Former Liverpool defender, Jamie Carragher, has said that Chelsea can only compete if they upgrade in the goalkeeping department.
Carragher was reacting to the Blues’ 5-2 demolition in the hands of Paris Saint-Germain during the Champions League last-16 first leg on Wednesday night.
The scoreline was 2-2 when Filip Jorgensen’s error saw PSG score through Vitinha.
Liam Rosenior opted for Jorgensen over Robert Sanchez, but Carragher insists Chelsea must find a new solution.
“Chelsea didn’t deserve to lose 5-2, but they only have themselves to blame for that,” Carragher said on CBS Sports.
“I’ve been critical of Chelsea for a long time. They can’t go any further until they sort the goalkeeping position out. I’ve been saying this consistently.”
