Former West Ham United and Aston Villa midfielder, Nigel Reo-Coker, has insisted that Arsenal will want to face Bayern Munich in the Champions League final and not Paris Saint-Germain.
Reo-Coker stated this after Arsenal eliminated Atletico Madrid from the Champions League semi-final stage on Tuesday night at the Emirates Stadium.
Recall that the Gunners booked their place in the Champions League final after defeating Atletico 1-0 on Tuesday, thanks to Bukayo Saka’s only goal of the game.
Speaking after the final whistle, Reo-Coker said, as quoted by CBS Sports Golazo, “They [Arsenal] probably would want to face Bayern Munich [in the Champions League final] because they have got the confidence of beating them.”
Bayern Munich will face PSG in the other Champions League semi-final second leg encounter, and the winner will face Arsenal in the final.
Vincent Kompany’s side had lost 3-1 against Arsenal earlier in the season during the league phase of the Champions League.
