UCL: It’s our DNA – Flick reacts as Club Brugge hold Barcelona to 3-3 draw

Barcelona manager, Hansi Flick, has defended his tactics after they were held to a 3-3 draw by Club Brugge in the Champions League on Wednesday night.

Flick has insisted he will not switch from his attacking style.

Barça were forced to come from behind three times at the Jan Breydel Stadium.

Interestingly, all the goals Brugge’s scored came after they breached Barcelona’s high line.

It is now nine games since Flick’s side kept a clean sheet and his high-risk tactics is being criticized after the game in Belgium.

“We want to play to our DNA; we don’t want a low block and transitions to win 1-0, but [I accept] 3-3 is not the best result for us,” Flick told reporters after the game.

“We came back after every goal, though, this is positive, but we have to speak about this match.

“In midfield, we do have not the pressure on the ball and we don’t win the duels, so it’s not easy for our last line to defend these fast players. We have to work on that, analyse everything. We will speak with the players.”
