Liverpool legend, Jamie Carragher has named the Chelsea players who contributed to their defeat against Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League Round of 16 first leg tie on Wednesday.
Chelsea struggled against Luis Enrique’s men in Paris, and Carragher feels the defeat can be traced back to errors made by goalkeeper, Filip Jorgensen and central defenders, Trevoh Chalobah and Wesley Fofana.
“It was a brilliant game, the best game I’ve seen in the Champions League this season,” Carragher stated during his analysis on CBS Sports.
“While Chelsea didn’t deserve this 5-2 defeat, they ultimately have themselves to blame.
“But big mistakes cost them at centre-back [Trevoh Chalobah and Wesley Fofana] and goalkeeper [Filip Jorgensen], and that has been an issue. That is why they lost tonight.”
