Real Madrid goalkeeper, Thibaut Courtois has revealed what he told Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper, Antonin Kinsky after he made mistakes against Atletico Madrid in the Champions League on Tuesday night.
Recall that Atletico Madrid defeated Tottenham 5-2 in the Champions League Round of 16 first leg tie in Spain.
But Kinsky made costly errors that resulted in Atletico Madrid scoring against Spurs during the encounter.
Speaking about what he told Kinsky, Courtois was quoted by Fabrizio Romano as saying, “I told Antonin Kinsky, as I also made mistakes at Atlético and I made mistakes at Chelsea! I also got nutmegged twice by Messi.
“I have told him that he has to learn from this… life is hard, but he has to remain confident… that is the way.
“The goalkeeper position is super vulnerable. When we make mistakes, it’ll end up as a goal. I ask Tottenham to support him and all his teammates as well.
“I sent an Instagram DM to Tottenham’s goalkeeper Kinsky, because what happened to him was tough, it’s hard mentally. Atletico’s pitch causes problems for every team.”
