Manchester City manager, Pep Guardiola, has admitted that Real Madrid’s ability and quality was the edge they had over his team, as they lost 3-0 in the Champions League last-16 first leg.
Madrid captain, Federico Valverde, scored a first-half hat-trick as they outclassed City at the Bernabeu.
The result leaves Guardiola’s men with a mountain to climb ahead of the second leg at the Etihad on Tuesday.
Guardiola told TNT Sports:”Real Madrid had the ability and the quality. It is what it is.
“I felt we were better than the result. Now is the time to recover.
“I had a feeling that we were better than the result said…but the result is here.
“We have one week and then we will see them at the Etihad.”
