US-based Nigerian Catholic priest d!es in his sleep

A Nigerian Catholic priest, Rev. Fr. Andrew Ifele, has passed away in the United States.  Fr. Ifele d!ed in his sleep on Monday, April 27, 2026. Until his demise, he was the administrator of La Santisima Trinidad in Arroyo Seco, Archdiocese of Santa Fe, USA.  Fr. Ifele had served as priest at St. Anthonys Catholic Church in Questa and its mission churchesNuestra Seora de Guadalupe in Cerro, Sagrado Corazn in Costilla, Santo Nio in Amalia, and St. Edwins in Red River, since 2011. The Catholic Diocese of Awka confirmed the news in a statement on Tuesday. According to the statement signed by the chancellor, Rev.
