The US State Department has warned Americans that travelling to certain countries could put them at risk of being arrested without reason or of facing attacks.
Since the conflict with Iran began, the agency has raised travel warning levels for several countries in the Middle East, including Saudi Arabia and Kuwait.
Countries under the highest warning, Level 4, which means “do not travel,” include Afghanistan, Haiti, Iraq, Libya, Russia, and Somalia.
Other countries under Level 3, meaning travellers should reconsider their plans, include Bahrain, Colombia, Honduras, Israel, Nicaragua, and Qatar.
