Super Falcons forward Esther Okoronkwo will be sidelined for around six week due to a knee injury, DAILY POST reports.
Okoronkwo suffered a meniscus damage on her knee in AFC Toronto’s league game against Halifax this week.
The 29-year-old is expected to recover in time for the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations.
The tournament will start in Morocco on July 25.
Okoronkwo played a crucial role in the Super Falcons triumph at the last edition of the tournament.
She scored two goals, and registered six assists.
