United States President Donald Trump says Iran is begging for a deal to end the ongoing tension between the two countries.
Trump made this statement on Thursday at a Cabinet meeting.
This is coming after reports that Iran rejected a 15-point peace proposal from the Trump administration.
According to Trump, Iran is saying it has been decisively defeated, denying reports that he is the one seeking a deal with Iran.
“They are begging for a deal,” he said.
The US President equally noted that Iran now has the chance to chart a new path forward, stressing that the US would continue blowing them away in the meantime.
“They can’t do anything about it. If they could, you’d be hearing about it,” Trump said.
He had earlier in a post on Truth Social stated that Iranian officials must act quickly or risk facing severe consequences.
