2 hours ago 1

The spokesman for Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, IRGC, Ali Mohammad Naini, has been killed in an attack, according to the Tasnim news agency.

The IRGC stated that Naini “was martyred in the criminal cowardly terrorist attack by the American-Zionist side at dawn,” on their Sepah News website, directly blaming Israel and the United States for the strike.

His death comes just hours after he issued a defiant warning challenging US naval claims in the Gulf. Naini, a veteran commander, had served the Islamic Republic for more than four decades.

This incident adds to the growing list of top Iranian officials killed in recent strikes, including security chief Ali Larijani and intelligence minister Esmaeil Khatib.

Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei was killed in the opening hours of the joint military attacks and has been replaced by his son, Mojtaba Khamenei.
