United States President, Donald Trump, says the US is going to hit Iran extremely hard over the next two weeks.
Trump made this statement on Wednesday night during his nearly 20-minute address at the White House.
He maintained that discussions with Iran were ongoing.
The president reiterated much of what he has been saying since the strikes began, with little new light shed on the operation or a specific timeline for when the war would end.
“I can say tonight that we are on track to complete all of America’s military objectives shortly, very shortly, we are going to hit them extremely hard over the next two to three weeks, we are going to bring them back to the stone ages, where they belong,” he said.
Trump added that many Americans have been concerned to see the recent rise in gasoline prices here at home.
According to him, the short term increase has been entirely the result of the Iranian regime launching deranged terror attacks against commercial oil tankers and neighboring countries that have nothing to do with the conflict.
The Republican reiterated that this was yet more proof that Iran can never be trusted with nuclear weapons, and that the country had been eviscerated and essentially is really no longer a threat.
