President of France, Emmanuel Macron, has ordered the increase in the number of nuclear warheads in France’s arsenal.
Making his address on Monday, the French leader said the country will no longer broadcast to the world how many nukes they have in their arsenal.
The decision comes following the outbreak of war between Israel and the United States on one side against Iran.
The United States began the bombardment of Iran on Sunday and have succeeded in taking out the military heads of the country.
Europe and America see Iran as a major threat over its insistent in making ballistic missiles capable of hitting nations in Europe and America.
Macron said, “To be free, we must be feared. To be feared, we have to be powerful.”
The French leader added, “I have ordered in effect that we increase the number of nuclear warhead on our arsenal in order to prepare for any escalation.
“We’ll no longer communicate the numbers as regarding our nuclear arsenal contrary to past practice. In order to be free, we must be feared, in order to be feared, we have to be powerful. Increasing our arsenal reflects that approach. But in order to be powerful, we have to be united.”
