The Premier League have announced the nominees for the best player of the month for October 2025 following their impressive performance for their respective clubs.

This month’s contenders have dazzled with remarkable performances, but only one can claim the prestigious honour.
Who are the nominees for Premier League player of the month?
(1) Matty Cash:
Cash highlighted both his defensive and attacking qualities in October. He helped Aston Villa earn their second win of the season in a 2-1 victory over Burnley before producing a brilliant pass that led to the winning goal against Tottenham Hotspur. He also ended Manchester City’s unbeaten run of 10 games across all competitions as he scored the only goal in the game against the former Premier League Champions.
(2) Bruno Guimaraes ( Newcastle)
The Magpies captain scored two of his team's five goals in October. He also scored a screamer in a 2-0 victory over Nottingham Forest before scoring the winner against Fulham.
(3) Erling Haaland ( Manchester City)
Haaland has been key for Manchester City this season having scored all three of Man City's goals in October, taking him to 11 Premier League goals for the season, five more than any other player. The Norwegian's first goal of the month was a 1-0 vaway victory and give Pep Guardiola his 250th top-flight win in charge of Man City.
(4) Bryan Mbeumo ( Manchester United)
The Cameroon international was in fine form for Manchester United, with his four goal involvements helping them win all three league matches. He created the opener in a 2-0 home win over Sunderland, before taking just 62 seconds to score at Liverpool, helping United secure a first Premier League win at Anfield since 2015. The Cameroon international saved his best performance for the end of the month, as he scored twice in a 4-2 victory over Brighton at Old Trafford to end October on a good note
(5) Igor Thiago (Brentford)
The Bees forward Igor Thiago continued his impressive form in front of goal, scoring twice in three matches during October. Away to West Ham United, the Brazilian scored the opening goal en route to a 2-0 win. He then converted a penalty which proved decisive in a 3-2 victory over defending champions Liverpool.
Other players on the list includes Arsenal’s Jurrien Timber, Nordi Muklele from Sunderland and Junior Kroupi who plays for Bournemouth.
