Daniel Bwala, Special Adviser to President Bola Tinubu on Media and Policy Communication has offered more explanations as to why President Bola Tinubu went on the recent historic visit to the United Kingdom.
Reacting to criticisms that have trailed Tinubu’s visit to the UK, Bwala in a Facebook post on Friday stated that the president went to pave the way more investments and opportunities for our Nigerians.
Tinubu had embarked on a two-day state visit to the UK, where he received some diplomatic show of soft power by the UK’s King Charles III.
The visit, however, stirred negative reactions from opposition figures, who questioned the importance of the move, especially considering the country’s current challenges.

But Bwala, said, “Some people are saying, “Why go to the UK?” Look, I hope you all know that you don’t grow and develop Nigeria by sitting at home and waiting.
“This visit is about opening doors: more investment, more jobs, and more opportunities for our people. His Majesty, King Charles has shown practicable commitment to partner with Nigeria on areas of mutual trust
“President Tinubu is making sure Nigeria is seen, heard, and respected on the world stage.
“That’s how you move a country forward, not by staying quiet”.
