Many security personnel are reported missing following an attack by armed bandits on the outskirts of Adabka Village in Bukkuyum Local Government Area of Zamfara State.
According to a post shared on Friday on X by security analyst Zagazola Makama, the attack happened on Thursday night around 8:32 p.m. when a large group of bandits stormed the village, abducting several residents.
Joint security forces quickly responded, leading to a fierce gun battle.
“During the clash, four abducted villagers were rescued. However, two officers from the Police Mobile Force (PMF) and seven members of the Civilian Joint Task Force (JTF) went missing,” Makama wrote.
Search and rescue operations are ongoing to find the missing security personnel and any other abducted residents.
